About Canton Cooks
Canton Cooks is a chinese restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia. It is listed at 5984 Roswell Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30328, which places it among the local businesses of Atlanta that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 amβ10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (404) 250-0515. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, cantonatlanta.com.

Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Atlanta is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The food was so bad, it doesn't even rate a star though I apparently have to give it a star to post this review. I literally threw out the entire meal it was that bad. The crab wantons were so overly fried you practically broke a tooth trying to bite into it. The filling was not quality at all. P.F. Changs has much better crab wanton. Maybe they should take a cooking lesson from P.F. Changs. The sweet and sour shrimp had fried shrimp which is not what I expected ( I don't remember it saying fried on the menu - I expected normal soft cooked shrimp in a sweet and sour sauce) And, it was all fried batter with very tough tiny shrimp inside the huge fried batter ring. The whole dinner tasted bad and was exceedingly disappointing. The BBQ ribs were so tough and absolutely drenched in sauce. Again, just a horrible meal. I don't know how people want to eat at this restaurant. The quality is awful, the taste is awful. Don't eat here. Go to P.F. Changs. The sad thing is I paid for this awful food and I am still hungry because I couldn't eat it. Shame on you Canton. You tarnish the reputation of Chinese food.

I placed an online carryout order and, unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from start to finish. When I arrived to pick up my order, the employee greeted me with a very dry "hi." I told her I was there to pick up my order, she asked for my name, handed me the food, and that was it. There was no "thank you" or "have a great evening," which made the interaction feel cold and unwelcoming. Once I got home, the food was just as disappointing as the customer service. I ordered the almond chicken and egg rolls. The chicken was fried extremely hard, there were barely any almonds, and the gravy looked overly greasy, as if it was made with too much oil. The egg roll was also overcooked. Overall, the food was very bland and lacked flavor. Based on this experience, I don't see myself returning. I hope the restaurant can improve both its customer service and the quality of its food.

Canton cooks is doing business for more than 30 years ago and this place has the best Chinese food in the entire city of Sandy springs and others cities around Atlanta. My favorite dish lobster in a spicy red sauce and white Rice you can switch for shrimp for a better price. But I been this location for years and never had any complaints. Finally they decided to remodel some old equipment of the restaurant and pos system, restrooms and others things but is much better now. Thank you Canton cooks for serving and doing business.

Amazing food! The vegetable stir-fry was fresh and flavorful, the beef with peppers was perfectly seasoned, and the lobster was cooked to perfection. Each dish was delicious and well-prepared. Highly recommend!
